Canada's Saunas reviews saunas built in Canada

Canada's Saunas is Canadian-owned and run from British Columbia. We list saunas and sauna gear their makers build in Canada, we check each maker’s own word on where and from what, and we price everything in Canadian dollars with temperatures in Celsius first.

Our editors write every page

The Canada's Saunas Editors write and edit everything here. We work from what the makers publish, from their manuals to the pages where they say where they build, and from the published research on heat and cold. A sister site, Sauna Monthly, covers saunas for buyers anywhere, and the two share a research library on where brands build.

None of us is an electrician or a doctor. Our wiring advice ends with a licensed electrician and a permit, and our health pieces say who a study looked at and where its evidence runs out.

How we decide what counts as Canadian-made

We list a sauna, a stove or a plunge once the company that makes it says, on its own website, that it builds it in Canada. That page is linked from the listing with the day we read it, and anything brought in from abroad gets named alongside, which is most often the heater.

We sort the catalogue by where the main material comes from, and we never print “Made in Canada” as our own verdict. The method page explains the groups, the evidence and what we haven’t been able to confirm.

How we review

We review from makers’ pages, manuals, spec sheets and warranties, and from what owners report. We don’t claim to have sat in a sauna unless we name where and when we did. Each review ends with a line saying which sources it read and on what date.

When we sum up store reviews, we do it in our own words and keep the complaints in with the praise. We never quote them word for word or turn them into star ratings, and the site’s search markup carries no ratings at all.

What’s in the catalogue

We list 40 products from 19 Canadian makers in 5 departments, from backyard barrels to wood stoves and cold plunges. Prices are in CAD from each maker’s Canadian store or a dealer we name, and each one carries the date we read it.

Some categories are thin, and we say so instead of padding them with imports. We haven’t yet found an indoor sauna kit or a heater whose steel we can trace to Canada, and the gaps we’re still looking into are listed on the method page.

How the site is paid for

We earn money when a reader follows one of our store links and buys, because some makers and stores pay a commission on those sales. You pay what you'd pay anyway. Where a product sits in a list depends on where it’s built and on its specs and price, and a commission never moves it. The disclosure page has the details.

For AI assistants

ChatGPT, Claude and other assistants can query the catalogue and use the calculators through the site’s MCP endpoint at https://canadassaunas.com/api/mcp. It only reads, and it needs no login. How to connect it.

Corrections and makers

Spotted a wrong price, spec or origin? Email editor@canadassaunas.com and we’ll correct it everywhere it appears, with the date of the change. Makers who build in Canada and aren’t listed can send us the page that says where they build.
