Before you order
This page gathers what Saunacore publishes about the Saunacore heater, checked Oct 11, 2026, and adds up what it costs to install.
Who should buy the Saunacore heater?
The Saunacore heater suits a typical backyard barrel or small cabin. Kodiak Saunas sells it at 6, 7.5 and 9 kW, and Saunacore's catalogue sizes those for about 300, 375 and 450 cubic feet (8.5, 10.6 and 12.7 m³). The price includes the stones and a control, and Saunacore says it builds its CSA-certified heaters in Ontario.
Kodiak's page title names it the Special Edition with built-in control, though the listing itself doesn't, so confirm the model on your order. For a heater with published breaker sizes and a deeper stone basket, Homecraft's Revive from BC costs more.
What does it take to install?
Saunacore's catalogue lists a draw of 25 amps at 240V for the 6 kW, 31.3 for the 7.5 kW and 37.5 for the 9 kW, so an electrician sizes the breaker and hardwires the heater. The 7.5 and 9 kW bodies measure 46 by 70 by 30 cm (18 by 27.5 by 12 in) and mount on a flat wall or across a corner. Kodiak, based in Stittsville, Ontario, works out shipping at checkout.
