Before you order
This page gathers what LeisureCraft publishes about the Harmony, checked Oct 10, 2026, and adds up what it costs to install. Our verdict on it runs in LeisureCraft sauna review: which Ontario-built model fits your yard?.
Who should buy the Harmony?
The Harmony suits up to four people in Ontario who want a barrel built in the province from Ontario wood. LeisureCraft builds it in Melancthon from eastern white cedar it buys from Ontario mills, and at about 2 m (78 in) deep it's the shortest barrel in the Canadian Timber line.
You buy it as a kit through a dealer and add your own heater. Nootka's 8 ft barrel comes out about $1,000 cheaper once both have a Canadian heater, by our math, and True North's barrel from Owen Sound costs less again if you're happy to build it.
What does it take to install?
Plan a level base about 2 by 2.2 m. The kit arrives flat with LeisureCraft's drawings and videos, and some dealers will put it together for you in their own area. It takes a wood stove or an electric heater, and LeisureCraft recommends about 6 kW for this barrel. For an electric heater, budget for an electrician to run and connect a hardwired 240V circuit.
What does the Harmony cost all in?
| Cost | Amount | Where the figure comes from |
|---|---|---|
| List price | $7,509 | The regular price at Backyard Canada, recorded Oct 10, 2026. |
| Homecraft Revive Slim 6 kW | $1,745 | At Backyard Canada, stones extra |
| Outdoor heater control | $700 | At Backyard Canada |
| Shipping | Flat rate | Backyard Canada ships anywhere in Canada for one fee |
| 240V circuit and permit | Electrician's quote | For an electric heater |
| Assembly | Your weekend, or a dealer's quote | Some dealers build it locally |
By our math, the Harmony with a Homecraft Revive Slim and its outdoor control comes to about $9,950 at Backyard Canada, before stones, shipping, the electrician and tax. Other dealers set their own prices, so get a second quote.
This guide draws on LeisureCraft's Canadian Timber pages and product summary and on Backyard Canada's listings for the Harmony and Homecraft's heaters, read Oct 10 and 11, 2026.

What to know before you buy
Eastern White Cedar, electric or wood-fired. These decide whether it suits your space and your electrical panel.
- Eastern White CedarEastern white cedar grows from Nova Scotia to Manitoba, so Ontario and Quebec builders can mill it close to home. The US Forest Products Laboratory's Wood Handbook puts it within a few percent of western red cedar on weight and heat flow and rates its heartwood as decay resistant. The wood is a pale, even light brown.
- Wood-FiredA log stove heats the room, so the sauna runs fully off-grid and the crackling fire becomes part of the ritual. Fans of wood heat call its löyly the softest. Plan for a chimney and about 45–60 min of heat-up.
- ElectricAn electric heater holds a steady temperature on its thermostat and needs no chimney. Many models add app or timer control.
