Before you order
This page gathers what LeisureCraft publishes about the Luna, checked Oct 11, 2026, and adds up what it costs to install. Our verdict on it runs in LeisureCraft sauna review: which Ontario-built model fits your yard?.
Who should buy the Luna?
The Luna suits four people who want a modern room with rounded corners and plan to heat it with electricity. LeisureCraft rates it for four and recommends a 6 kW heater for its 8.91 m³ (315 cu ft) of air. It's built in Melancthon from eastern white cedar sourced in Ontario, LeisureCraft says.
LeisureCraft's spec table rules out a wood stove in the Luna. For wood heat, its MiniPOD takes one and costs about $2,460 less. SaunaSpa's 6 ft Cube in red cedar arrives assembled from Quebec and starts lower too.
What does it take to install?
Plan a level base about 2.2 m (7.2 ft) square, since LeisureCraft lists the outside at 215 by 219 cm. The kit crates at 692 kg (1,526 lb), and Backyard Canada ships it flat to your driveway. The roof carries an EPDM rubber membrane on a slight slope so water runs off, according to LeisureCraft. The heater runs on a hardwired 240V circuit that a licensed electrician installs.
What does the Luna cost all in?
| Cost | Amount | Where the figure comes from |
|---|---|---|
| List price | $9,942 | The regular price at Backyard Canada, recorded Oct 10, 2026. |
| Harvia KIP 8 kW with rocks | $1,543 | The cheapest electric on Backyard Canada's menu |
| Homecraft Revive 9 kW | $1,985 | Its control adds $625 and stones $360 |
| Shipping | Flat rate | To your driveway anywhere in Canada |
| 240V circuit and permit | Electrician's quote | For the hardwired heater |
By our math, the Luna with Backyard Canada's Harvia KIP 8 kW comes to about $11,485 before shipping, the electrician and tax. Every electric heater on that menu is 8 kW or more, above LeisureCraft's 6 kW recommendation, so ask the dealer to size one for this room.
This guide draws on LeisureCraft's CT Luna page and warranty terms and on Backyard Canada's Luna listing and shipping policy, read Oct 11, 2026.

What to know before you buy
Eastern White Cedar, electric. These decide whether it suits your space and your electrical panel.
- Eastern White CedarEastern white cedar grows from Nova Scotia to Manitoba, so Ontario and Quebec builders can mill it close to home. The US Forest Products Laboratory's Wood Handbook puts it within a few percent of western red cedar on weight and heat flow and rates its heartwood as decay resistant. The wood is a pale, even light brown.
- ElectricAn electric heater holds a steady temperature on its thermostat and needs no chimney. Many models add app or timer control.
